My journey to becoming a financial educator and coach started in an unexpected way. I was living what looked like an ideal life on paper - a fully funded PhD program, a prestigious scholarship, and a clear path to becoming a professor. I'd always had big dreams and clear goals.

But life had other plans...

When my first husband's cancer returned, I pressed pause on my academic career to help run his business while he underwent treatment. What I thought would be a one-year break turned into a complete life change.

At 32, I found myself widowed, heartbroken, and buried under $400,000 of inherited debt, with a business that was struggling without its founder.

That moment changed everything. I realized that even when you think you're doing everything right, life can pull the financial rug right out from under you because of what you don’t know.

Thankfully, this story has a happy ending - I paid off the entire debt in two years and went on to build a multi-seven-figure net worth.

Today, I live a beautiful life with my family, enjoying the freedom that financial strength brings - and you can, too.
